Calf Strains
Calf strains are the result of torn or overstretched muscles at the back of the lower leg. They are frequently caused by pushing off or jumping movements that overstretch the muscles of the calf. The typical symptoms are a sudden pain at the back of the leg followed by tenderness in the calf area and then swelling and/or bruising over the next few hours or days. The injury is usually graded from 1 to 3 in terms of severity, with 3 being the most severe. The calf sleeves below may help with reducing the pain of the condition and/or speeding recovery to normal health.
