Hip Instability
Hip Instability is a medical condition that is caused by the structures that constitute the hip – the hipbone, thigh bone, tissues sealing the hip and the ligaments lining the joint. Typical symptoms of this condition are hip pain, laxity, “giving away”, a clicking sound from the hip and a tendency to easily dislocate it. The cause can be traumatic (injuries from sports or motor vehicle accidents) or atraumatic (overuse or a congenital abnormality of the joint). Braces like the ones below can be of help in these situations, but a choice should be made with the advice of a medical practitioner.
