Eye Wash

Eye wash is an isotonic solution that comes ready for use in irrigating your eyes to ease burning, irritation, stinging, smarting, itching and other sources of discomfort. As an isotonic solution, it is designed to maintain equal concentrations of impermeable solutes on either side of a membrane, thus preventing either swelling or shrinkage of cells (of the eye in this case).

In addition to easing discomfort, eye wash facilitates removal of loose foreign material from the eyes. It also helps removal of other foreign material such as air pollutants (like smog and pollen) and chlorinated water.

The solution contains as non medicinal ingredients 2.5% boric acid (w/v), sodium borate and sodium chloride. Its medicinal ingredient is 98.3% purified water.

You can also use it proactively  as a a buffer solution that will keep your eyes neutral (in ph terms) if they suffer exposure to acid or alkaline liquids.

Do not use eye wash to treat broken skin or wounds. Use one of our other disinfectant products such as Benzalkonium Chloride, for example.

• Keep out of reach of children or pets;
• Do not use to treat children under the age of 3;
• Avoid using this solution with soft contact lens;
• Store at room temperature only.
