The DynaPro KN95 Respirator has five layers. Its first (outermost) layer consists of non woven fabric and the next two each consist of melt blown fabric. These are followed by a layer of hot air cotton and finally an innermost layer of non woven material. Dimensions of the DynaPro KN95 are 22cm x 16.5 cm (8.8 x 6.6 inches) unfolded. Folded dimensions are 11cm x 16.5cm (4.4 x 6.6 inches) – please see gallery photos. The respirator complies with the GB2626-2006 standard.
The DynaPro KN95 respirator uses head straps in contrast to the earloop harness commonly used by KN95 respirators. The use of head straps provides a more effective seal than earloops. The DynaPro KN95 also uses metallic nasal splints. These are adjustable to help assure a contoured and secure fit to widely varying facial shapes.
DynaPro KN95 Performance Levels
The DynaPro KN95 Respirator records filtration rates ranging between 99.6% and 99.8% and therefore easily meets the 95% filtration rate required of N95 respirators like the Almedic N95.
In testing, this respirator records inhalation and exhalation resistance levels of just 150 Pa and 120 Pa respectively. These are well under the 350 and 250 Pa levels required for its standard and show that it presents very low resistance to breathing.
The Total Inward Leakage (TIL) levels of the DynaPro KN95 Respirator are also impressive. Testers carried out 50 “types of action” on 10 samples of the DynaPro KN95. All 50 produced TIL levels under 11%, and the highest recorded level was just 6.0%. Of the 10 samples subjected to testing, all the measured TIL levels were less than 8%, and the maximum level was only 5.6%
