HypaFix Wound Dressing

BSN HypaFix is appropriate for acute wound care but allows you freedom of movement. You can use it for small or wide area primary dressing fixation and for reducing infection risk or the risk of invasion of foreign matter. HypaFix is also a great choice for fixation of post operative drainage lines, instruments, probes and catheters.

In addition to dressing fixation, HypaFix will also lightly compress the wound area. This compression will itself promote wound healing. HypaFix, like DynaPro Adhesive Non-Woven Fabric, is latex free and so is a safe choice if you have a history of latex sensitivity. HypaFix is also radio transparent and so you can leave it on during X-Ray or other radiographic procedures.  It will not interfere with these procedures.

Another notable feature of HypaFix is its excellent conformability, even when you apply it to contoured body parts such as the knee, shoulder and elbow.

BSN HypaFix is also a useful addition to emergency kits that you take on outdoor activities such as camping.

BSN HypaFix – Instructions

• Ensure that the area to be treated is dry and clean;
• Determine how much HypaFix you need;
• Cut or tear the amount you need using the grid lines on the dressing  underside if necessary;
• Remove the backing using the release paper and apply HypaFix to the surgical or wound area.
