APB All Purpose Boot

The Darco APB™ All Purpose Boot is an optimal choice for all-year post operative protection. It features a closed toe design that helps keep your bandages, dressings and toes dry and warm. The new version of the All Purpose Boot now has a larger toe box area to better accommodate more bulky dressings and fiberglass casts. There is also an insole with double padding that you can remove to accommodate a PQPegAssist™ insole for offloading pressure on a wound or while recovering from surgery.

The All Purpose Boot features an aggressive pattern in the midfoot area that reduces the risk of tripping as a result of heel scuffing or toe dragging.

The All Purpose Boot has a rocker sole that reduces plantar pressure by more than 25% and helps to promote healing. Its square-toe design provides toe protection akin to a bumper to those wearing k-wires. It also has an ankle strap to secure your foot in the shoe and reduce the risk of heel slippage. The forefoot closure design improves security and also removes the pressure you would experience wearing a buckle instead. Finally, there is a unique metatarsal shank under your metatarsophalangeal (MP) joints to improve support and form a more rigid base for the forefoot.

The Darco APB™ All Purpose Boot is wearable on either the left or right foot. You can also wear it on an injured foot together with a regular shoe on the other (healthy) foot.  You can buy it in sizes Extra Small to Large (women) and sizes Small to Extra Large (men).
