The Telfa Adhesive Island Dressing features a cotton core bonded all around with a non adherent perforated film. The film is manufactured to a precise specification of 300 holes per sq. inch. With these specifications, the Island Dressings will provide an ideal balance between exudate migration and non adherence. For optimal absorbency, the dressing’s core is composed of 100% USP grade cotton. In addition, it transmits moisture vapor at a rate that supports a moist environment to promote wound healing.
The Adhesive Island Dressing will conform around your wound and seal it it off from the external environment. This will help to reduce the infection risk. To further reduce infection risk, you can steam sterilize the film.

-Apply the dressing over the wound and smooth down the edges.
