Wrist brace to control motion of the CMC and MP joints
The Bio Skin Wrist / Thumb Spica regulates movement of the CMC and MP joints by preventing painful movements of the thumb and wrist but allowing unrestricted use of the fingers.
The Bio Skin Wrist / Thumb Spica cock-up brace helps to control movement of the metacarpophalangeal and carpometacarpal joints. This is a left/right specific brace and its construction material is chosen specifically for optimal wearing comfort (more below). The thumb injuries treated by the Wrist Thumb Spica include as de Quervain’s and bursitis, but it will also support the treatment of injuries such as scaphoid bone fractures.
The Wrist / Thumb Spica uses Cropper Medical’s patented Ultima 2SL material. Ultima 2SL is completely free of neoprene and latex and is also hypoallergenic. You don’t need to be concerned about adverse skin reactions if you wear the brace over extended periods.
In addition to the above features, the Wrist Thumb uses BioSkin’s patented anti slip SkinLok™ feature. It increases adherence to your skin in reaction to water, lotion, perspiration or other sources of moisture.
