The Cramer Sports Medicine Dual Density Foam Kit comprises  four layers of foam. Each layer is a dual density layer created by laminating one high and one low density layer together.

Each layer is 11 1/2″ wide x 11 1/2″ long. Of the four dual density layers, two have a 1/8″ thick high density layer paired with a 1/4″ low density layer. The other two layers each have a 1/4″ high density layer paired with a 1/2″ low density layer.

The Cramer Sports Medicine Dual Density Foam Kit has the advantages of both:

  1. High density foam, which protects you from high velocity impact; and
  2. Low density foam, which provides greater comfort.

The softer low density layer plays the role of diffusing pressure.  While it does this, the harder high density layer functions to absorb impacts. The dual density layer therefore combines the roles of the high and low density layers and eliminates the need to use separate high and low density layers.

The Dual Density Foam Kit helps to prevent thigh and shin bruises across many sports. It also provides protection from AC sprains and hip pointer injuries. In addition to these uses, the Foam Kit can aslo be used as cast padding over fractured limbs such as wrists and arms.
