The Telfa Non Adherent Dressing is an ideal solution for treating lightly draining wounds. They consist of a highly absorbent cotton fabric that is coated with a film to prevent the dressing sticking to the wound when you place it over the opening. The film also serves to prevent the dressing causing infection or contamination of the wound by depositing residue such as gauze particles  in it.

Another useful feature of  the Telfa Non Adherent Dressing is that you can cut the pads to any shape you need. In doing so, you will not cause the different layers to separate from each other. The dressings are sterile and come wrapped in an  envelope that you can quickly peel open for simple removal and application. You can further sterilize them with steam.

The dressings are available in three sizes: 2″ x 3″, 3″ x 4″ and 3″ x 8″


Telfa Non Adherent Dressing - Application Instructions

Choose a size from one of those available (2" x 3", 3" x 4" and 3" x 8") that can cover the wound with a little overlap.
Remove the dressing from its sealed container and lay it over the wound
If needed, use a bandage or secondary dressing with an adhesive coating to hold the Telfa Non Adherent Dressing securely in place
Dispose of the pad if it becomes saturated with wound exudant, or wet for some other reason
