Knee Strap / Patella

The McDavid Knee Strap / Patella uses a non-slip, tubular buttress to apply constant and uniform compression to your patellar tendon. To facilitate achievement of a custom fit, the Knee Strap uses adjustable (Velcro) hook & loop closures. Composition of this knee support is 100% Neoprene(CR), which is latex and neoprene free. Due to the absence of latex, there is no risk of you suffering an adverse medical reaction associated with latex allergies. This is the case even if you have this in your medical history

In addition to the absence of latex, the use of 100% neoprene endows the Knee Strap with superior resilience, tear resistance and tensile strength. It also enhances its compressive and heat retention properties. These are both essential to the therapeutic capabilities of the support.

Using 100% neoprene for this support also allows it to survive several wash and dry cycles without loss of performance. Despite this, we would recommend air drying this product for best results.

The neoprene used for this support is ultra thin, with a thickness of just 3.2mm . As a result, you will be able to wear this low profile support under regular clothing with no sacrifice of comfort.

This brace is an effective treatment for patellar tendonitis and related conditions that are often a factor in sports with plenty of jumping or running, such as basketball. Many basketball knee injuries are linked to these types of injuries, and the incidence is especially high among younger athletes.The tubular buttress applies compression to your patellar tendon (just below) your knee to reduce the pain of these conditions.
